The 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT will be officially at the Los Angeles Auto Show but you have to wait a few months more since it will be available in your dealers by next year. This auto, which is based on the Toyota Matrix yet to debut at the SEMA, will have an AWD version. This is the first comprehensive version since the Vibe was introduced in 2003 but it is not a complete facelift because it still has the old version’s tall wagon-like nature.
The new 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT can accommodate five passengers plus lots of cargo space. It has also kept faithful to the old version’s track, length and wheelbase. It however has a revised platform underneath, suspension calibrations, steeply raked windshield and updated sheet metal.
Expect the 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT to get totally new vibes with reduced noise and vibrations. At the same time you can expect a heavier car overweight by 125 pounds for automatic transmission models and by 150 pounds for manual transmission models.
